REVIEW | JUNE IPSY BAG

So I’ve had my June Ipsy bag for about 3 weeks now & I have used each of the products.

If you watched my Unboxing video on YouTube, you’ll know I wasn’t impressed with the makeup bag. I expected a little more when I heard it was designed by Rebecca Minkoff. It’s not like I need any more makeup bags anyway so not a big deal.

The Marc Anthony Beach Spray smells good & actually does a decent job at helping create & maintain “beachy waves”. I’ve used it a few times & I like it better than the Sexy Hair Soy Renewal Beach Spray I received from Ipsy last summer. It doesn’t leave my hair as stiff. I also like that this is a Canadian brand.

Be a Bombshell Lash Out Mascara…I have received quite a few products from this line in my year with Ipsy & haven’t been impressed.  This mascara smells terrible, if you can get passed that, it doesn’t do anything that a less expensive drugstore mascara can’t do. I’ll use it a few more times when I’m going for a natural look but I wouldn’t purchase this mascara…especially not for $15.00.

The OFRA Eyebrow Pencil is a good color match for me but it’s marketed as a universal shade but I think this would be too dark for everyone. It wears well & is a good size so it should last a long time.

I really like the scent of the Realtree Eau de Parfum but mine wouldn’t spray. I contacted Ipsy Care & they sent out a replacement asap (kudos to Ipsy) but when I received it today, it was a different fragrance, the Demeter Roll On Perfume Oil in Salt Air. It’s a summery scent & I will use it but I was disappointed as I like the original fragrance better.

Lastly, I was really excited about the Nyx Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee. I like the formula, its comfortable & not greasy or sticky. I don’t think the shade works for me though (it’s a light milky pink) but at least I know the formula is good & I can try out a shade that might work better for me.
